About The Property

The Silva Ranch is located one mile from Unity Reservoir on the Burnt River. There is 3/4 mile of the river on the property flowing underneath the small bluff that the home is on. There are wild meadows along the river and an alfalfa field next to the house. Year around wild life viewing is afforded by the wrap around red wood deck on the home. The property consists of 799 acres, 117 of which are flood irrigated with reservoir water that lasts though out the season. The remaining acreage is sage and bitterbrush covered hills with rims and small draws.

The Home

The home is an open ceiling, western style house with 2 bedrooms downstairs and one bedroom in the loft. Exposed wood through out the open floor plan. Domestic water comes from an artesian well. There also is a two car garage and a large enclosed shop. The home is very private but easily accessed by a nice driveway to the paved road.

The Area

The Silva Ranch is a great property to have horses, a few cows and enjoy what the ranching community surrounding it has to offer. Fishing is a short walk from the house or a one mile drive to the reservoir.  Elk or deer hunting can often start when you walk out the door. The area is known for the trophy mule deer and huge bull elk. This is perfect year around home or an amazing seasonal get away. Just 40+/- miles from Baker City or 7 miles to the small town of Unity.
